Lunchtime activities

We are proud of how we encourage and support children in engaging in fun, active play at break and lunchtimes.

There is a wide variety of activities on offer, to suit all ages, interests and abilities.

We are lucky to have our adventure trim trail, where children can challenge themselves using the monkey ropes, develop strength and stamina through climbing over the scramble nets and crossing various balance logs and similar challenges. We also have a traverse climbing wall, where children can challenge themselves to 'hold on' for the longest time or simply challenge themselves to cross the wall with minimum steps down on the floor.

On the main playground, children can enjoy skipping, playing with the stilts and air flow balls and cones, play Four Square (very popular here at Ramsey Juniors!), tennis, hockey (adult led), beanbag target and set up basketball challenges on our purpose-built basketball court.  Coloured cones and bouncy balls are also available, and children are encouraged to invent their own games with friends.

When the weather is dry, we aim to open up our huge school field for everyone. Here children can take any equipment they wish onto the field. We also have recently built 2 brand new football goal posts and footballs are available for children to play with in different areas on the field. We also have static exercise equipment installed, for children to use and keep themselves fit!

We love our active playtimes at Ramsey Juniors!
